Clients Share their Experiences Working with Katrina

“Thank you for your amazing visual recordings of events and discussions at the AEE conference.  Seeing them all together at the closing ceremony was such a great reflection of the messages and challenges we’d heard and lived all week!  You have such a talent for hearing the essence and bringing it to life.  I hope you’ll continue to help us see what we say.”

Pat Hammond, CEO
Association for Experiential Education

“Katrina Geurkink has an uncommon ability to allow insight and imagination to work on your organization’s behalf.  She took our 20 trustees on a day-long journey over what they thought was familiar terrain.  At the end of it, we didn’t have a new organization.  We had a better one.”

Alexander L. Aldrich, Executive Director
Vermont Arts Council

“Katrina Geurkink has worked closely with me and many others in developing ways to learn leadership, communication, and facilitation skills, even new computer applications, that are fresh and fun and beautifully sequenced and thought-through.  She manages to combine thoughtful preparation and well-designed materials with totally present and flexible in-the-moment response to the needs of a group…  Katrina is an unusually thoughtful, knowledgeable, and articulate person, and she can do any number of things very well (from beautiful knitting and quilting to writing to t’ai chi and rock climbing), in addition to her professional accomplishments.  Yet the sense one gets from meeting her is not so much ’wow, what an amazingly talented person’, as ‘this woman really listens and connects with me’”.

“Katrina is a vital partner in many of The Snelling Center’s programs, particularly The Vermont Leadership Institute.  She serves as an energetic presenter and provides thoughtful contributions to curriculum design and implementation.  She skillfully and gently moves group discussions forward and elevates participants to a higher level of dialogue and understanding.”

Jan S. Eastman, Executive Director
The Snelling Center for Government

“Katrina Geurkink provided inspiring leadership to my department as we ventured to create collaboration and a culture of excellence amongst a variety of services.  Katrina is masterful at drawing creativity from participants while providing a structure that provides measurable results.  Katrina is an extraordinary consultant who is highly educated, a strategic thinker and who is genuinely compassionate.  Her dynamic traits coupled with a keen business sense, are powerful. Yet, she uses her power to empower the individuals with whom she works.”

Barbara Fromm, Administrative Director
Department of Hospitality, Harborview Medical Center

“Katrina has worked with Basin Harbor Club’s key staff members on a number of occasions.  She does an excellent job working with people to develop their insights on group dynamics and how they can contribute in unique ways.  She is perceptive, creative, and skilled at bringing people from diverse backgrounds together.  She is flexible, resourceful and a wonderful asset for businesses which want to use experiential education to improve their productivity.”
